Sometimes it can feel like your mind is always working. You may replay conversations long after they've ended, second-guess decisions you've already made, or always bracing for something to go wrong. Even when things appear calm on the outside, your mind may feel busy, restless, or unable to fully let go.
Many people assume anxiety is simply about worry. Often, it's also about uncertainty—not knowing what will happen, whether you've made the right choice, or how things will turn out.
Stress and burnout can show up in similar ways. You may feel mentally exhausted, overwhelmed by responsibility, or unable to slow down even when you know you need rest.
Therapy offers an opportunity to better understand the thoughts, emotions, and patterns that may be contributing to anxiety, stress, and burnout. As that understanding develops, many people find they are able to trust themselves more fully and spend less energy trying to control what cannot be controlled.
The goal isn't to eliminate uncertainty. It's to develop greater confidence in your ability to handle it.
