Individual Therapy

Many people seek therapy because something in their life no longer feels sustainable. They may feel overwhelmed by anxiety, stuck in the same relationship patterns, disconnected from themselves, struggling to adjust to a major life change, or simply exhausted from carrying more than they can manage alone.

Sometimes the challenge isn't recognizing the pattern. It's understanding what keeps it going.

Therapy offers an opportunity to better understand yourself, explore the experiences that have shaped you, and create meaningful change. Together, we'll look at both what is happening in the present and the deeper patterns that may be influencing how you relate to yourself, others, and the world around you.

My approach is warm, thoughtful, and direct. I primarily draw from psychodynamic therapy, which helps us understand how past experiences and longstanding patterns may be affecting your life today. When helpful, I also incorporate practical CBT-informed strategies to support change outside of therapy sessions.

Common Reasons People Reach Out

People come to therapy for many different reasons, including:

  • Anxiety, overthinking, and chronic stress

  • Depression and low motivation

  • Relationship challenges

  • People-pleasing and difficulty setting boundaries

  • Life transitions and identity shifts

  • Chronic illness and chronic pain

  • Grief and loss

  • Low self-esteem and self-doubt

  • Difficulty trusting themselves or making decisions

  • Feeling stuck in recurring patterns

These patterns can be frustrating because they often persist even when you recognize them. Understanding why can be an important part of creating change.
