Chronic Illness &
Chronic Pain
Living with a chronic illness and/or chronic pain condition can be exhausting—not only because of the symptoms themselves, but because of everything that comes with them.
Many people find themselves caught in a cycle of doctor's appointments, treatments, medications, symptom tracking, and searching for answers. Navigating a complex healthcare system can add another layer of stress, especially when you don't feel understood or supported.
My approach begins with the understanding that your symptoms are real. Rather than questioning your experience, we'll explore how symptoms are affecting your daily life and whether there may be ways to reduce suffering and create more flexibility in your relationship with them.
Drawing from psychodynamic therapy, CBT-informed approaches, and somatic tracking, we'll work to better understand your experience and the role that stress, fear, and uncertainty may be playing in it. My background includes hospital-based clinical work and advanced training in palliative and end-of-life care, experiences that continue to inform how I think about loss, uncertainty, and adaptation.
Together, we'll make space for what has changed while exploring how earlier experiences of loss, illness, caregiving, or uncertainty may still be shaping your experience today. The goal is not to rush toward acceptance or closure, but to better understand what you're carrying and how to move through it with greater flexibility and self-compassion.
